The Raystown Chapter of Ducks Unlimited held their annual workday on February 13, 2005 at the waterfowl propagation area at Raystown Lake.  The volunteers cleaned and maintained 15 existing wood duck boxes and installed 6 new boxes in areas that will help provide additional nesting sites.

Each new wood duck box also has a predator control guard attached to help reduce predation, the predator control guards on the existing wood duck boxes were checked and any necessary repairs were made.  The volunteers installed 4 new mallard nesting cones and predator control guards to help provide additional nesting sites.

The Raystown Ducks Unlimited Volunteers worked under the supervision of the PA Game Commission and the US Army Corp of Engineers.  All materials were provided by the PA Game Commission.
