Hey im a college student looking to buy a new cheap reliable shotgun and have seen many good reviews on the weatherby but havent talked to anyone about one yet and how they function and also how reliable they are. Just wondering what everyone thinks of them. I have a remington 887 and have had nothing but problems with the firing pin and bolt and am looking at selling that and another gun i have so that i can by a weatherby.

From what I've gathered on the PA-08's, is that they are a pretty darn good gun for the money. I assume you're looking at the black synthetic model, but I was rather impressed with the grain, fit and finish of the wood and blue models; pretty guns really. You could also consider a fancier model of guns if you don't mind buying something used...just a thought.

I just got one a couple weeks ago.  I've only shoot skeet with it but it ran through a 100 target loads with no problems.  I like the fit and feel of mine just fine.  The cold didn't hamper it's functionality in the slightest, we were shooting in about 15-20 degrees the other day.

Sounds like the weatherby will be a pretty reliable gun. Thanks for the help, i think ill start working on figuring out how to get one so i can torch some more ducks next season without worrying about if my gun will fire or not.
